However, there were times I felt like they could have done more with the characters. Stringing the detectives along with questions and puzzles it was really interesting to see Nine and Twelve commit their acts of terror while trying to get caught. How will they act? What will they do next? Why did they do this? Was this planned? were all questions that kept coming to mind with each passing episode. From the first episode to the end, there is something always happening to continue your speculations. In starting Zankyou No Terror, I have to admit I was not immediately hooked but I was intrigued. It’s not all about the first look after all. As someone who hates re-watching anything, I could see myself re-watching this show due to the way they presented it. I’d love to see more on it but seeing how this is an original work, I’m not sure we’ll see much more. Total Score – It’s definitely a great show that you should watch. I’ll leave this at that so you viewers can interpret it on your own. Maybe I’m spoiled, maybe I’m just being nit picky but I still feel after every episode I wasn’t feeling a strong enough pull other than a slight curiosity.Įnding – Appropriate but a bit weird. For the average anime viewer, I’m not sure this could pull someone in on a week to week basis in comparison with the other anime I’ve seen. However, anything above a 5 for the hardcore anime viewers is considered pretty addicting. However, it’s intentionally done so fear not.Īddiction level – I did not feel a strong urge to continue to push forward with the series. There were marks taken off with the story because again, I felt like there were some bases that could have been covered. Every episode serves it’s purpose to push the story along. However, with Zakyou No Terror there is a clear objective. It might come to surprise but my favorite character is Lisa.Ĭonsistency – Sometimes the story loses it’s focus and you don’t really feel like the creator knows where they’re going with this. The past is a good example of this.Ĭharacters – The characters are easily distinguishable and a great fit. However, there were certain subjects that felt a tad bit rushed in the fact that you did want to know more. Story – With a lack of holes, the story is generally pretty solid. The story does not take place in Iceland but it just goes to show you how far she is willing to go to try and gain that creativity. In an interview, the producer stated that Yoko Kanno traveled to Iceland in order to get a different feel for creativity. My favorite part is that Yoko Kanno does a great job of being creative.
Music – The music is great, it really fits in with everything. Before I get into the review of the anime I give this anime an 82/100. In watching this anime through from episode one to eleven, I will say it was well worth my time. Losing sleep and creating bags under your eyes are just prizes you obtain for the hard work you put forth in sticking with the creator from start to finish. Then, once you find the hidden gems you engage in a weekend binge session. The key to this is word of mouth or perusing forums. However, It was this very same topic that drew me to finally sit down and watch all eleven episodes in succession.įor those of you not aware, I enjoy finding hidden gems within each season. First and foremost, with recent events going on in the world I thought that anime sort of film broaching this subject to be borderline taboo. Zankyou No Terror first caught my attention when I saw a random advertisement on Hulu about an anime on Terrorism. Names: Zankyou No Terror / Terror in Resonance But what are the terrorists after? At this point, the only clues that the Japanese Government have are that they are called Sphinx and they are more clever than the average detective. An ex detective and the Japanese Government must unravel the puzzles that unfold in front of them in order to prevent further acts of terror.
